2018 Alaska Teacher of the Year Receives Grosvenor Fellowship
2018 Alaska Teacher of the Year Ben Walker has been selected to receive a Grosvenor Teacher Fellowship. The fellowship is a professional development opportunity for pre-K–12 educators made possible by a partnership between Lindblad Expeditions and the National Geographic Society.

The Fellows were selected from a competitive applicant pool of pre-K–12 educators from all 50 U.S. states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Canada, and Department of Defense Education Activity schools.
Walker is a science educator who received the 2019 National Shell NSTA Science Teaching Award and is a 2013 recipient of the Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching (PAEMST), which is the nation's highest honor for teachers of mathematics and science.
