About Those Trump 2024 Revenge Tour Signs

Trump 2024 "Revenge Tour" signs have begun popping up around Anchorage. Some social media commenters wrote that they found the signs "terrifying," with one person posting a picture of the sign on Facebook. The sign appears near a local Anchorage State Farm office, but some have questioned whether it is on public or private property and whether the State Farm agency actually placed it.
The Anchorage resident posted a picture of the sign with the caption:
"Trump 2024: "The Revenge Tour "Brought to You by State Farm."
The same Anchorage resident reached out to State Farm, expressing concern about the sign. State Farm responded with a comment asking the resident for more information. The resident responded and has not heard back from State Farm as of Feb 13. If State Farm responds, this will be updated with further information.
Of particular note, many large U.S. companies suspended donations to members of Congress in the wake of last month's Capitol Hill riot. State Farm's employee political action committee joined them, writing:
"In light of recent events, the State Farm Federal PAC made a decision to suspend all contributions. The PAC will continue to evaluate this decision and re-examine the process used to support candidates."
A second sign, seen on Twitter, appears to have been photographed on private property. The language depicted on the signs was referenced in various news articles written last week by the Daily Beast, The Independent, Yahoo, and Business Insider.
Business Insider wrote:
"Trump is planning to embark on a nationwide speaking tour specifically designed to drain support from Republicans who have backed his impeachment. People familiar with the plans said Trump wants to target the 10 House Republicans who voted for his impeachment last month, as well as any Republican senators who speak out against him at next week's trial."
I read the article last week and didn't pay much attention to it as ex-President Trump's "Revenge Tour" wasn't shocking to me. Still, there's nothing I could find to indicate that the "Revenge Tour" was ever intended to telegraph that a 2024 presidential run by the former president was on the table, as the signs seem to infer. Trump has done many stupid things over his disastrous and tumultuous time as president, so it's possible a future could be on the table.
Interestingly, merchandise with the 2024 "Revenge Tour" language has appeared online and is being sold on sites like eBay.
