Alaska Tops 10,000 Active COVID-19 Cases

In a resounding victory for the Dunleavy Administration, Alaska exceeded 10,000 active coronavirus cases today when Alaska DHSS updated its coronavirus dashboard earlier this morning.
Governor Dunleavy, who may believe Alaskans are impervious to hospitalizations and death, is undoubtedly pleased with this monumental testament of his failed leadership on COVID-19. Alaska, which now has 10,251 active coronavirus infections percolating throughout the state, is working overtime to catch up with the rest of the lower 48 who are currently experiencing record levels of illnesses and hospitalizations.
Dunleavey, who says he is not perfect at wearing masks, has refused to institute a statewide mask mandate to curtail the spread of the virus in the state.
The municipality of Anchorage contains 5,360 — or more than half of the state's total number of active COVID-19 cases. It is unclear whether glorious leader Donald Trump will award Governor Dunleavy the Congressional Medal of Honor.
Fueled by his dismissive and flippant attitude towards the global pandemic that has already snuffed out over 230,000 American lives, it is likely we'll see more suffering among the state's population and the exhaustion of our healthcare workers unless the governor takes action.
