Today, as Progressives and concerned Anchorage residents showed up anxious to testify at the Anchorage Assembly Committee Meeting on Homelessness, individuals walked away miffed as there was no time for public testimony to be given.

Progressives concerned about Mayor-Elect David Bronson's plans to warehouse a large portion of Anchorage's homeless population in a prefabricated structure dubbed 'Bronsonville' have been attending Anchorage government meetings in higher numbers since Covid-19 case numbers have dropped across the Municipality.

Today, as Progressives and concerned Anchorage residents showed up anxious to testify at the Anchorage Assembly Committee Meeting on Homelessness, some individuals walked away from the meeting miffed as there was not enough time for all public testimony to be given.
East Anchorage Assemblyman Forrest Dunbar apologized to those on social media who didn't have an opportunity to share their concerns with the Committee. Dunbar wrote that there's often a time for audience participation at the end of these meetings, but because today's agenda ended up taking the entire time, it wasn't possible.
Dunbar wrote that if anyone has thoughts on the Alaska Club, the new mass shelter, housing, smaller vs. larger facilities, or anything else to please email them to:
