APOC Assesses Additional $33,500 in Fines Against Bronson for Mayor

Last week, Bronson campaign counsel Stacey Stone argued in the campaign’s response to the Alaska Public Offices Commission's (APOC) amended Staff Report that the campaign should be given a break from fines assessed against it.

Stone wrote in the campaign's response that the Bronson campaign did have two late filings, but one was only a minute late, and therefore the campaign should be eligible for a reduction of the penalty.

Well, here are two more that were more than a minute late.

In two more Notices of Penalty Assessment sent to Anchorage Mayor David Bronson dated August 6, 2021, APOC wrote that the Bronson for Mayor campaign did not timely file two 24 Hour Reports during the 2021 Anchorage Municipal Election, earning the campaign two more penalties: $15,500 and $18,000.

The Bronson campaign has thirty days to either appeal or pay the assessed fines.

For those that keep score, below is a list of penalties the Bronson campaign has incurred for late filings and the violations discovered due to the Dunbar for Mayor complaint.
