Ballots for the April 5 regular municipal election are on their way!

The Anchorage Municipal Clerk's Office announced today that roughly 210,000 ballot packages are being mailed today to qualified registered voters and that voters can expect to receive their ballot package in the mail by Monday, March 21, 2022.

The Anchorage Municipal Clerk's Office announced today that roughly 210,000 ballot packages are being mailed today to qualified registered voters and that voters can expect to receive their ballot package in the mail by Monday, March 21, 2022.

Ballot package contents include the following: Official ballot, voter instruction, secrecy sleeve (which protects voter privacy) and a ballot return envelope.

The Municipal Clerk’s Office is reminding voters that voting by mail is simple and easy.

  1. Vote your ballot, filling in the ovals completely, place the ballot in the secrecy sleeve, then place both into the ballot return envelope.
  2. Sign the declaration on the back of the ballot return envelope.
  3. Save postage by returning your ballot to a Secure Drop Box or an Anchorage Vote Center, or mail your ballot with first class postage through the United States Postal Service.

Additionally, the Clerk's office says that the deadline to apply to receive a ballot at a temporary address is March 29, 2022.
