Bronson's Statement on Hate Symbols Falls Flat

A press release issued by Anchorage Mayor-Elect David Bronson in response to swastika stickers that were found at the entrance of Mad Myrna's bar and the Alaska Jewish Museum doesn't go far enough.
Bronson's statement on the swastika stickers is 44 words long — 51 if you count his quote given by the Anchorage Police Department, and says that the incoming Mayor is "saddened and disgusted to see this behavior in our community."
Bronson's statement says that he wants "to make clear to our community these actions will not be tolerated in our city" and asks anyone with information about the "awful" stickers to call APD.
Bronson, who was fortunate enough to have a social media group endorse his candidacy for mayor mere weeks after the Save Anchorage Facebook group was created, has never publicly chastised the social media group for antisemitic comments made by its members many of which were directed toward former Anchorage Mayor Ethan Berkowitz.
