On Tuesday, pro-Bronson election fraud conspiracy theorists, some associated with the shadowy Save Anchorage political operation that has more politicians and sly political operatives sowing discord among the group's membership roster than one can count, once again besieged the Assembly Chambers alleging, without proof or facts, that the 2020 presidential election was stolen from Donald Trump.

East Anchorage Assembly Member Forrest Dunbar forcefully pushed back on allegations made by those in attendance at Tuesday's Assembly meeting who asserted that the 2020 presidential election was not free and fair.

Many individuals associated with the secretive and vast social media network of pro-Bronson groups spewed their latest election fraud disinformation campaign at Tuesday's special meeting in response to proposed minor changes to Title 28, which mostly seeks to protect election workers. The proposed changes would make a limited number of changes to assist voters and make election processing more efficient.

After the 2021 mayoral runoff election, the Anchorage Municipal Clerk released a worrisome report that detailed disrespectful, harassing, and threatening behavior towards election officials from some campaign observers and members of the public.

While the municipal clerk didn't identify in her report which campaign representatives had engaged in such disturbing behavior, based on social media posts, it's believed Bronson's supporters were involved in some of the conduct described in the report.

The election report detailed inaccurate and misleading disinformation about the May 11, 2021, election, such as an individual calling for the public execution of Election Officials after the municipal clerk wrote that "rumors and innuendo" had circulated leading to the suggestion illegal activity had occurred and which implicated election workers.

Earlier this month, Anchorage Mayor David Bronson attempted to stack the Election Commission with two right-wing election fraud conspiracy theorists. The Anchorage Assembly refused to confirm either nominee.

The next meeting of the Anchorage Assembly will be held at 5 pm Tuesday, December 21, and is shaping up to be a forum where members associated with the Save Anchorage political operation are expected to further share more baseless allegations of election fraud. Last week, Eagle River Assembly person and Save Anchorage cheerleader Jamie Allard strongly recommended to her fellow group members that they should be prepared to testify on the 21st about the proposed changes to Title 28.

Ahead of next week's Assembly meeting, Anchorage Action has organized a "Live Watch" to be held in the Assembly chambers in an effort to show community support for the Assembly's efforts to protect election laws and election workers proposed in AO 2021-110(S).

Anchorage Action is strongly encouraging members of the public to attend next week's Assembly meeting in person and to bring size appropriate signs that "demonstrate support for safe elections, protecting election workers, and that reject baseless claims of fraud for partisan purposes."

The group is also encouraging the public to bring some holiday spirit to the meeting by wearing a festive sweater, outfit, or holiday-themed mask.

Those who wish to avoid far-right members of the public that are expected to attend Tuesday's meeting can provide written or phone testimony at this link.
