A Candlelight Vigil for Jacyln Welcome will be held on Sunday June 27, 2021 at 6pm on the Northeast Corner of Gamble Street & Fifth Avenue.

A Candlelight Vigil for Jacyln Welcome will be held on Sunday, June 27th, 6:00 pm,
Delaney Park Strip on Tenth Avenue at G Street.

According to an email from the Anchorage Houseless Resources Advocacy Council:

"Jaclyn's Family requests that we use this time to remember Jaclyn, to humanize all houseless people who are already among the most marginalized, discouraged, and traumatized among us;
& to recognize that this was an attack on our entire community of houseless human beings."

Attendees are asked to please leave political perspectives at home.

According to those who work in social services and with Anchorage's houseless community, many individuals living on our streets are feeling more unsafe than usual. Any show of support and compassion would be appreciated.
