Dunbar for Mayor Campaign Raises Over $250,000
Today, the Forrest Dunbar for Mayor campaign announced that they have raised over $250,000 since the beginning of the campaign. Dunbar received donations from over 1,100 individual donors and begins the next reporting period with over $145,000 cash on hand. Dunbar announced his candidacy on October 6, 2019.
“We’re excited to see the acceleration in support for Forrest’s campaign since the beginning of the year,” says Forrest Dunbar for Mayor Finance Director Anna Hutchinson. “It’s clear from these numbers, and the endorsements we’ve received from organizations like Planned Parenthood Votes Northwest and Hawaii and the Alaska AFL-CIO, that Anchorage residents want hard-working leadership that will beat this public health crisis and get our economy back to work."
The Dunbar campaign has raised over $95,000 since January 1st, 2021. The average donation amount from individuals is $136. Dunbar has not made significant out-of-pocket contributions of his own funds to the campaign.
Forrest Dunbar has represented East Anchorage on the Anchorage Assembly since 2016. Over 1,100 individual donors, local labor unions, legislators, and Anchorage community leaders have joined together in support of Dunbar’s campaign.
