Fringe Candidate Widens Lead

In the election season that won’t end, the Anchorage Municipal Clerks office released more unofficial results, which shows fringe candidate David Bronson leading 50.64% to 49.36%.

1,116 votes separate the two candidates and 87,165 ballots have been counted as of today and thousands more reportedly remain to be counted.

Today’s tally comes after the Anchorage Assembly terminated, effective immediately, the mask mandate within the municipality. It’s not immediately clear what David Bronson might do for the next three years should he win the mayoral run-off election aside from locking up the homeless population. Maybe he’ll spend some time cleaning up his APOC reports.

No further election results are expected to be released this evening.
