Kathy Henslee Signals Run for Anchorage Assembly

Kathy Henslee (R) filed a letter of intent to run for a seat on the Anchorage Assembly in 2022. Henslee previously ran for election to the Alaska House of Representatives to represent District 23. She lost in the general election last November to Democrat Chris Tuck.
Henslee lives in District 4.

In a Q&A with the Anchorage Daily News last year, Henslee said that the city of Anchorage had "been put in a terrible situation because of the lockdown" and that residents were "frustrated and ready to get back to making more of their own decisions about their health and welfare."
When Henslee ran for the Republican nomination in her bid for House Representative, Eagle River Assembly Person Jamie Allard endorsed her run, writing, "Kathy Henslee has the energy and integrity we need in Juneau. I am proud to support her!" Henslee also earned the endorsement of former Republican Party Leader Tuckerman Babcock. Henslee seems really into "fiscall" management.
Henslee supported David Bronson for Anchorage mayor and has Facebook friends associated with the Save Anchorage Facebook group — that should tell you all you need to know.
