"See ya' Chump!"
You knew this one was coming.
I woke up December 2 to find quite a few notifications on the Facebook page. The notifications came from a Facebook account with the name "EJ Johnson" associated with it, and since these comments were made publicly, I've no issue sharing some of them here.
"Mr. Johnson" began commenting on a post I made showing long lines at a local food bank in Anchorage, Alaska, the day prior.
Conservative fake accounts follow The Blue Alaskan Facebook page. I generally leave them be if only for the antogonistic pleasure one can derive knowing that they're there "spying." However, when a Facebook account begins using inflammatory language to personally attack others…I don't have a lot of tolerance for that.
A quick view of EJ Johnson's Facebook account shows that he/she likes the Being Libertarian Facebook page, the Must Read Alaska Facebook page, and the Facebook page of Lora Reinbold among many others so we can infer that the kind of behavior exhibited by this Facebook account is to be expected.
The Facebook account also wrote a review on the "Democratic Activists Together" Facebook page writing, "Progressive" my ass... People like you are nothing more than Fascists masquerading as being "open minded". All you want to do is control people and make them conform to your world view. You're intolerant and narrow minded, worse than any "conservative could ever be. "Resist"? Bullshit. It's called "sedition". He's your President, deal with it."
After making a determination that this particular Facebook account was exhibiting toxic behavior, I banned them from the Facebook page. Minutes later I received an email from "EJ Johnson." I have highlighted the relevant keywords in the email below:
"Poor little lefty, did your delicate little feelings get hurt by someone whose opinion differs from your group-think? Must have hit a sore spot to get blocked from your trashy Facebook page. Bet ya just miss the hell out of that little tinhorn dictator of your Ethan, don't you? Of course, when one tinhorn dictator falls, another is surely to rise in its place. Cue the music, enter the clowns that are the Anchorage Assembly and their self-anointed leader Austin Quinn-Davidson. She's proving to be worse than Ethan, denying the People the right to have a direct say in their government. But, of course, you have no problem with that. If it were a Republican doing it, you'd be screaming bloody hell and shouting for a recall. You're nothing more than a two-bit lefty blogger stuck in the backwater of the Leftist cesspool. Typical hypocrite; no surprise there. See ya, chump!"
Having used all of the seemingly far-right toxic language "EJ Johnson" was able to fit into one paragraph, I called it a day.
When I see behavior like this, and especially an email that ends with "see ya, chump," I always wonder what motivates these people to attempt to demean, belittle, bully and seemingly threaten others that they don't know on the Internet?
