The Mailbag: October 25, 2020

Thank you for taking the time out of your busy day of non-mask wearing to write me an email expressing your exceedingly great displeasure with my "propaganda" writing.

I sense that you may be a Trump supporter and not a fan of science — regardless, I will attempt to explain on a 6th-grade comprehension level.
Numbers, such as the ones found on the Alaska Coronavirus Dashboard, don't generally lie, although one must make an occasional exception for when Donald Trump's HHS agency fiddles with our ICU capacity and hospitalization data.
Sharing Alaska's numbers (propaganda) to a wider audience isn't the fear-mongering you might think it is, but rather a right and thus a protection enshrined in our First Amendment.
I am well aware that the far-right, anti-mask, anti-science worshippers of the obese impeached orange adulterer believe that only Trump has the ability to lie to the American people every time he opens his mouth — but I do consider myself better than Donald Trump in that regard as I make every effort not to share "alternative facts."
The same First Amendment right that permits you to tell me, "fuck you," also permits me to share with you my deep hope that Donald Trump aka "Individual-1" is indicted the moment he leaves office in January.
