The Response to 'Save Anchorage' Has Arrived
Billing itself as the response to a certain notorious far-right misinformation group, Anchorage Action has formed to promote what the group is calling a thriving, connected, and more inclusive city.
The Anchorage Action group is a non-partisan group of individuals concerned about the "new direction" of "division and high partisanship" in Anchorage. The group's leadership says it will network and speak out against the divisive nature of propaganda being proliferated by the far-right and will be politically active for positive change in the municipality.
In an emailed statement, Anchorage Action administrators said they would be politically active, working to support the Anchorage Assembly and acting as the general "antidote to the Save Anchorage mindset" and had no intention of falling by the wayside.
The group's administrators also said they would not let Anchorage Action become a group known for misinformation, threatening, or bullying behavior - traits often associated with the infamous Save Anchorage group.
In an attempt to keep bad actors out of the group, the group will remain private, but unlike super-secret, Save Anchorage, Anchorage Action can be found by anyone searching for it.
