Remember the 'Summer of Hate?' No? Google it and brush up, because now that the fascists have claimed the mayorship, things are going to be like that. Every day. For three years.

This Week In Sanity: July 4, 2021

Remember the 'Summer of Hate?' No? Google it and brush up, because now that the fascists have claimed the mayorship, things are going to be like that. Every day. For three years.

This Week In Sanity is a very quick overview because I don't mind saying I'm tired and want to do nothing but watch Disney+ for the next two days. Raya and the Last Dragon await!

It looks like international superstar Jamie Allard knew that someone had "snuck" into the Anchorage Assembly Chambers in January when the Covid-19 Emergency Orders were in effect. Gee, I hope the former social security employee doesn't get recalled for it.

Allard has had a super busy week posting garbage and "liking" comments in the Save Anchorage group...like this one...which refers to Alaska Natives as "scum that crawls here from the Bush."

SAVE ANCHORAGE IS SOOOOO GREAT

In some primetime loony posting on the far-right blog Alaska Watchman, Allard accused the MUNI and Anchorage Assembly of deliberately seeking to further traumatize abused women in need of a "safe space." I still don't understand why her colleagues put up with her crap. I very much look forward to her conservative counterpart Crystal Kennedy explaining this one away.

When things get tough for the Nazi sympathizer in Eagle River, she is known to retreat to her own "safe space."

At least she said the quiet part out loud and admitted what we all knew about the group anyway. Have you ever gone through all the names in the Save Anchorage group and looked at the political and business people? No? You must not have a lot of time on your hands. Stay tuned.

Speaking of Save Anchorage, many group members have been distraught with Facebook this week after popups began appearing, warning individuals they may have been exposed to "extremist" individuals and/or content.

One group member posted their own Facebook label, which referred to governments as violent groups. I am very thankful the Save Anchorage group exists. Aren't you? They've contributed so much to our city!

The 'very fine' people of Save Anchorage are once again posting dehumanizing videos and pictures of Anchorage's homeless into the group. Guess they didn't learn their lesson from the last time they did this.

If you haven't seen the SaveAnchorage.org website, I highly recommend you visit it. Happy reading!

By the way, Save Anchorage has one less Administrator now - the one who “joined” on July 10, 2020 is no more. Neat.

Rep. Ivy Sponholz "pretty much" accused Governor Dunleavy of gaslighting. It's okay Rep. Sponholz, you don't have to say "pretty much," we all know the truth.

Speaking of gaslighting, the Gulf of Mexico caught on fire this week.

The Peninsula Clarion is quickly becoming one of my favorite news outlets because they're one of the few who have no problem going through social media posts to shed light on extreme positions — like those shared by Rep. Ron Gillham, who, in case you didn't know, is also a Save Anchorage group member.

I find it hard to believe that anyone in Save Anchorage would ever post anything similar. I'm shocked.

State Senator Qora Reinbold may be trying to outfox a lawsuit that has been filed against her, and she has updated the "Senator Lora Reinbold" page with a dizzying display of words in the event her Facebook page "heats up." Basically, she writes she can ban people and delete comments for pretty much anything — an argument not likely to prevail in court. But, remember, Reinbold's position is largely, 'let them eat cake!'

Bronson's appointees may be facing some…challenges in the weeks ahead. Anchorage's new health director made a "slew of Facebook posts during the pandemic that downplayed its significance and even questioned vaccines," but don't worry, it was apparently just one big joke! These sick fools are SOOOOOOO FUNNY.

Hrrrl Scouts and the Alaska Landmine had a minor interaction on Twitter recently after the Landmine 'reported' that a tweet from the Scouts was a "loose unit alert." The Hrrrl Scouts account, which isn't often known for its tact, responded just as you would expect. Very loose.
