"Anchorage Action" on the move ahead of tonight's assembly meeting

The "Anchorage Action" Facebook group leapt onto Anchorage's scene in September and is a true grassroots movement unlike the right-wing "Save Anchorage" Facebook group.
The group collectively desires a thriving, connected and inclusive Anchorage and was created to network and discuss ways to advocate for positive change and to act as a general antidote to the anger-fuelled populism the group's leadership says is currently damaging the city.
In less than a month, the group has organized support for health care workers and carried out multiple action items. The group supports the city enacting COVID-19 mitigation strategies as Anchorage's health care system comes under siege by a right-wing army of unvaccinated Ivermectin-infused COVID conspiracy theorist death cultists.

The group has worked to oppose specific Bronson appointees, such as Judy Eledge, who the group and various other organizations say is unqualified to hold her current appointed position.

Today, at 2:00 p.m., members associated with the group will place signs supporting Anchorage health care workers in front of the Anchorage Public Library. The group will also place white flags — a symbolic tribute acknowledging those who have died as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic — a pandemic that thus far, Mayor Bronson and other right-wing politicians have largely ignored.
Members of the group also plan to attend this evening's Anchorage Assembly meeting, where Providence Chief of Staff Dr. Kristen Solana Walkinshaw and Dr. Leslie Gonsette are expected to speak during initial audience participation. A letter signed by over 70 health care professionals will also be read at tonight's meeting.
"Anchorage Action" is asking Anchorage residents concerned about Mayor Bronson's inaction on COVID-19 to attend this evening's assembly meeting.
