Kameron Perez-Verdia Announces Reelection Campaign for Anchorage Assembly

This afternoon, Kameron Perez-Verdia announced through a press release that he would seek reelection for Anchorage Assembly, West Anchorage District 3.

Kameron has provided thoughtful and measured leadership through one of the most challenging times in Anchorage history. That leadership remains imperative. With an inexperienced and highly partisan new administration, a worsening public health situation, and transformative federal funding up for grabs, experience and responsible leadership must come from the Assembly.

“We’re at a critical junction and cannot afford to go backward,” said Assembly Member Perez-Verdia.

“I remain deeply committed to finding reasonable solutions with anyone willing to put differences aside to do what’s right for Anchorage, including the new administration. But in the absence of that approach, it will be up to the Assembly to ensure that critical services like public transportation and street maintenance are not slashed, that new investments in child abuse prevention and behavioral health are protected, and that we do not squander our economic and public health recovery because of partisanship and misinformation. It has been a great privilege and responsibility to represent the people of West Anchorage, and I intend to do right by them by seeing our city through this difficult period.”
