"Political Witchhunt" Over! Assembly Confirms 6 Bronson Appointees

One day it’s a "political witch hunt," and another day, it’s back to business.
Last evening at a regular meeting of the Anchorage assembly, the assembly confirmed six of Mayor Bronson's appointees, which is pretty amazing when you consider the assembly and "well-known political activists" had been accused just last week of slandering Bronson's pick to run the Anchorage Health Department—David Morgan.
Marcus Dahl, Christina Hendrickson, Karol Raszkiewicz, Saxton Shearer, Adam Trombley, and Lance Wilber were all confirmed to their appointed roles without much discussion or debate—which is generally what happens when you put forth a qualified appointee with related experience.
Strikingly, none of the new Bronson appointees are anesthesiologists or pediatricians to the best of my knowledge.
Salaries for Mayor Bronson's 6 appointees will set the city back a cool $777,961.60 a year.
This Friday, the 13th, at 3 p.m. (you really can't make this stuff up), the assembly will hold a confirmation hearing for Mike Robbins, who, for unknown reasons, Mayor Bronson feels should lead the Anchorage Community Development Authority.
