The Radically Different Muni Homepage is Smoking

The homepage for the Municipality of Anchorage has finally been updated and brought into the 21st century.

The new homepage now displays the most sought-after information by Anchorage residents in addition to social media posts from a curated list of Municipal departments such as the Anchorage Police Department — giving visitors a real-time picture of what's going on in the city.

The Anchorage Assembly's web page was given a largely superficial makeover. Still, a more pronounced sidebar now better conveys the Assembly's calendar, email address, and public notices in addition to other helpful information.

Accepting change is difficult for some people who have already complained that the changes made to the Muni's website are a misuse of government resources and that the changes are "corruption related."
